    MinnKota Maxim prop

Trying to take the prop off my t/m. I took the prop nut and washer off but can't get the prop off. I thought it should slide off but after pulling and prying I can't get it off. Does it screw onto the shaft? I have never seen one this hard to remove.

    Probably a bent shear pin.

shear pin is bent holding the prop on. Take a hammer and hit the prop close to the hub.

Aaah so true, but sometimes the shear pin or especially a bent shear pin will imbed itself into the prop so far that it will only come off in two or more pieces.
