Someone talk me into a RAM!!

Been looking at trucks the last couple weeks. Wanting a 2014 or newer and less than $30,000 with low miles, 4x4, and crew cab. Have drove a Silverado z71 for last 9 years and went into this wanting another until I seen the price and is nearly impossible to find what I want in my range. However, I have found several rams in my range. I have never owned or considered anything but a chevy. Currently im talking to a dealer back an forth about a 15 ram crew cab express with hemi and 4x4 and they are asking 27,988 for it. 32,000 miles. My father in law owns a 15 ram and loves it. Anything to worry about for this year? Pros and cons?

Have a 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab Hemi...i have owned a lot of pickups and have to say between the ride, power, and interior options, i cant believe i'm saying this, but this has been the best truck i've ever owned. I'm averaging 18mph with towing 6-10 annually plus a trip to upstate NY. I only have 8,000 miles on it but between the service at my dealer and the truck itself, id unequivocally own another one...power for days for a gas job.

Ever since the redneck commercial from the early 2000's and the guy with one tooth asking everyone "Dat ding got a hemi?" i said i'd never own one... Glad i bought it...

I own 2015 1500 Crew Cab with the Hemi and have 60,000 miles. Only thing I've done is oil change and just a week ago replace the tire... Love it... Dan

I have owned Chevys for the last 45 years. Last year I test drove new chevy, ford and rams. I bought a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab, 5.7 hemi with the 8 speed tranny. I have 22000 miles on it now and love it in town, on the highway and towing my big old 520.. my only regret is not getting the crew cab..

May look pretty in the morning mist but at the end of the day it's still a Dodge.

I've owned 3 Rams, currently own a 2013 hemi crew cab that I love. IF I was looking to trade it I would get another Ram. I might take a F150 for a test drive but I'd personally not be interested in a Chevy.
I don't think you can go wrong with a Ram; there's nothing I don't like about mine.

    When was that, 1955?

I have a 2014 Ram Ecodiesel and it is without a doube the best riding truck made. I drove to Fairbanks, AK and back earlier this summer and averaged 29.2 mpg for the trip. I know you are not looking at an Ecodiesel but the rest of the truck is rock solid. I never had an issue except for the driver side mirror adjustment quitting and it was replaced under warranty.

Isn't the Ram pickup the one with the $1000 spark plug change fee, and they don't go 100,000 miles like GM?

It's true that the hemi doesn't go 100K on a set of plugs like most other vehicles, but I'd doubt that it's $1000 to change them. And....they don't need to be changed as often as the manual calls for (as per two dealers that I've talked to). I like the power (and mileage) that the hemi has and if the plugs don't go 100K then so be it.

They went to 100k intervals in 2014 and newer rams. Unfortunately, too many problems with mine coupled with shitty dealerships, so I never made it even close to needing plugs since I traded it at 18k miles. FYI, Fiat/ram customer service is worthless if you ever have a problem with the dealership.
