    Trolling motor mount issue

I just bought a Crestliner 1600 Storm and installed two 73sv's on it. The unit at the bow is a non-Chirp and comes with the gt40. Rigger called me yesterday to tell me that the transducer is too long to mount on the trolling motor. Not the end of the world, as I'll probably just get a new GT20 and forego side view (which I don't really need up front). But what sucks is that they called me yesterday and I'm supposed to pick the boat up Friday. Looks like I won't have a transducer up front for its first few trips.

I guess it depends on the trolling motor. I just sawed off part of the fin, drilled 2 holes thru the part that was left and bolted on a piece of HDPE. I have mounted 2 vexilar xd's, GT 51 (bigger) and a GT8. But then. I have a degree in redneck engineering from Down Yonder Univ.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

As said cut the skeg partially off. Common problem on the MK Maxxum.
