    Water over bow

Ive been debating 721 vs 920 for months now and am leaning 721 for price, length, slightly lower guntels, and ability to flush mount big graphs. But I got to wondering, since the 721 is a little narrower up front, is it more prone to having waves wash over the bow with the tm down than the 920?
I don't fish big boy water like some of you guys but TN river stacks mean waves when they're rolling 40k+ cfs and the wind is blowing against it.

In 3 days last week on st clair- i had 3 waves over bow - all in 5 min span in my 721-- took out my helix 10 sadly but partners in zx 250 took more, several in fact. You ll probably be happy with either if that's your concern

Get the 721. Water over the bow between the two models is a difficult criteria to use for comparison due to the variables involved.

I just didn't know it was noticeably worse in one or better in the. I didn't figure there would be much if any difference between them.
If I could get a 921 in the garage I'd be in one already.

Don't know about the 920 but my 721 will take water over the bow on occasion.
I fish Kentucky lake 95% of the time, and a north or south wind in the 20+/- mph on Kentucky will
    get the water rolling.

Are we talking while fishing or while running? While fishing I've had some water come over the front but it was at the point of not being able to stay out there anyway. I haven't stuffed a wave running but I don't get to crazy when it's over 2' out there. If I'm not in a time crunch I don't see the need to try to skip across the tops but I it will do it. I would also think the shorter 920 wouldn't be able to span the waves as good so it might be a touch more prone to stuff one but it's probably not a noticeable difference

I've taken one or two over the front in my 721, both times I was running with the wind. Running into it, none yet. Rayburn and Toledo can be a joy. Of course like kry29 said, if it is that rough chances are I ain't going to run it unless I have to.

920 is literally 5" shorter. Agree that it wouldn't be a noticeable difference.

flush mounting your front graph Ill speculate youll be forced to damn near stand over the top of it to view it. I wouldnt call that a plus. cant flush mount two 12's!!

I don't think you will notice a difference between the two.

Fished derby two weekends ago and they were coming over the front, I still was able to position like I wanted. The 921 is a beast. I've enjoyed this boat more than any other

I had a Ranger Z19 with a 10" plate tightly fit in my garage. Got rid of that and there's a 921 with a 12" plate sitting tightly in there now. I would double check fit if I were you. The fold away tongue is behind the bow. It's all boat length.
Like Phoenix921 said, the 921 is a beast. That boat gives me so much more confidence on big water/rough days.

I've checked many times but nothing short of a big hammer and new framing is going to get a 921 to fit. The 721 or 920 will be tight. Rangers are ridiculously long on the trailer though. I believe the 921 stores shorter than the 520's
