The last time a fella gave me a description of a launch ...that bad, there was 5 and 6 lb. bass all over that bayou....
Same old song and dance.
The last time he laid down some rocks all he could do was complain at how much it cost. That could be the worst launch in the area. You get all the mud and then the rocks stick to it and then you are getting on the highway. Slinging crap everywhere.

Used BoB Thibodeaux boat launch today for the first time. I will not be returning to old Bob's sh** pit. Day's of the filthy mess it makes of my truck and boat are over. The ramp is very nice and everything is new and maintained. It was $1 to launch but I am certain that will go up which is no problem. I would pay $10 to launch there. Left at dark this morning and was sitting in my spot in no time.
I wouldn't think it would go up. The Amelia launch and Russo's landing in the basin are also only a dollar and use the same parking meter machine. They are all owned by the parish I'm pretty sure.

Nothing but Amelia area for me last 10 trips out that way. New launch or the old...one dollar. Bobs is either a dust bowl or mud hole.
Amelia and Russo are in St. Mary parish. The new Bob Thibodaux launch is in Assumption parish.
Did not realize that. Still a super nice launch.

The reason those launches are only a dollar are because they are owned by the parish where as the bb marina is owned by an individual. I live about a half mile north of the 662 ramp.
Doesn't change the fact that Bob's is a mess. If you have a gravel parking lot, occasionally you have to bring in some more gravel and have it graded. That's just the way it is. Stepping out of the truck in sandals into water to my ankles is ridiculous.

Not to mention having to park in mud and wall through it all the way back to your boat. I walk in bare feet and rinse in the water before walking on my carpet.

B.B. did benefit from the new levee with the parking lot near Bob's pond being shelled and graded but you have to walk thru a mud hole from the levee back to the launch. When prepping to launch, you are always in mud. I'm sure the opening of hunting season has made it even worse.
Was there yesterday seen at least a dozen people going through the parking lot at 30 mph it's like people are trying to hit someone's kid or wreck into someone it was sad

Launched out of Bob’s yesterday. I have to say the parking lot is in a little better shape. He fixed the large gap that had developed at the top of the ramps - a few pot holes closer to the ramps but it wasn’t as muddy as it usually is. Now, if only folks would realize that it’s not cool to load your hunting gear into the boat while blocking the ramp would be great and also to pull out the way when you are reloading and shooting the breeze about your hunting accomplishments would be great too. Parking seems like an every man for himself thing.
