Helix 12 SI/GPS transducer?

(1) is the transducer the same as the Helix 10 SI/GPS?
(2) I think the transducer can be traded for a TM transducer?

The reason I ask is, I'm thinking of buying a 12 for the console and moving the 10 SI/GPS to the front. If what ask is not possible, I'll just replace the 7 DI/GPS on the front with another 10 SI/GPS but would really like the CHIRP on the 12 for crappie fishing.

Transducer exchanges are handled through Humminbird Customer Service, not a dealer.

The trolling motor version and transom version of the HDSI transducer is the same size and shape, just the included mounts are different. The trolling motor version's cable is 5' shorter.

If you are going to use the Transducer Shield and Saver mount, just use the transom version that comes with the unit and you won't have to do the exchange.

Can just the mount be bought from HB or is the transducer shield/saver better. Seems like a lot of $ for what it is.

The XTM 9 HDSI 180 T comes with the AD STM 7. You can purchase that separately---------- https://www.humminbird.com/Products/AD-STM-7/

The Transducer Shield and Saver TM-HDsi is a LOT sturdier. Highly recommended if you crash into stuff. It is aircraft aluminum hollow square tube stock machined to custom fit the transducer.

I made it since I do crash into trees/stumps a lot and had damaged a cable before.
