    So the 2018 z20/21 has ultrex option, but

    Also has an option for recess filler, does that mean not having a recess pedal? Reasons why I wish they had pictures

    I think you're confusing the Ultrex and the Ulterra. The Ultrex has a pedal like the Fortrex (not sure is it is identical) and other cable operated foot controlled TMs so I'm sure it still has a recess with the Ultrex.

    I have an 18 Z20 and the Ultrex. Recess is there and fits great. Excellent motor, by the way.
