    2006 201Pro XL set up???

The boat has an Etec 225HO, 6" JP. Has a Raker 2 prop now, not sure what pitch, prob 25 or 26. Does anyone have a favorite prop for this setup. My buddy is looking for better hole shot. Thx

We need to know what pitch he has now. What is his prop height now? Tempest is a good all around prop for that hull. The PVS plugs let it be tuned for best holeshot.

I was badly mistaken. 28P, I'll check prop shaft to pad in a few days. Thanks for the reply. I'm still shaking my head on 28P. Etec is a brute..

I have a 2006 stratos 201XL with 225 Pro XS. I run a 25p fury and solo tournament load have seen 72.7 the other day. Looking to go to a Fury 4 for better lift and holeshot. The Etec is a beast, a guy in our bass club had same boat as you and ran a 26p raker prop and has seen 78 several times.

Motor output and prop condition have a lot to do with it. Two Rakers may not perform eaqually just like two hulls or two of the same motors. I’ve seen as much as 8 - 10 mph swing between eaqually equipped boats. A 26 Raker typically does well with your rig top end but sucks wind getting up. I would run a 25 pitch 4 blade and not think twice about it.

No expert here but if I had to guess its too much prop. Most rigs I see in the 20-21 foot range with 225 - 250 hp run some form of 26. My 20SS runs a 26 with a 225 HO

My 07 201 Pro XL with 225 Etec would get 73-74 turning a 27 Tempest at 5700 -5800 rpm. All the research at the time pointed to the Tempest being the overall favorite but I sold that boat before experimenting with a 4 blade, which is my preference. A 25 Fury, Trophy plus or RX4 would likely give up a mile an hour or two top end but greatly improve low rpm performance.

Can i ask if any one has a set of 8' or 10' blades mounted on a stratos 201 2003-2007 pro xl?' If so can someone please provide me with a measurement from the floor to the top of their 8' or 10' blades?
I'm wanting to get a set but need to make sure they will fit in garage.
    thanks
