I'm pretty sure it's a hefty turtle, swimming with the boat at a good clip, the si image I think I see its head coming out of a shell. The di has a shell profile as well

No one can be wrong that often so it has to be deliberate.
Im leaning towards baitball, but the shadow is pretty solid.
Water depth was about 8 or 9ft and boat speed was about 1.5mph
No such thing as a measuring tool as boat speed will shrink or stretch the image
maybe so, but the image measured the same in both side and down scan even though the images werent identical
if your measuring tool is right I wouldn't want to be fishing where the turtles are that big...lol

The biggest turtle I ever saw in my life swam under my boat on Caddo Lake and it scared me it was so big!!!
