    Plugs for seat pedestal bases?

Soon to be new Phoenix owner. Looking for ideas and sources for plugs for the seat pedestal bases. Im assuming Phoenix uses a 1.77" like Ranger does? The only ones I've seen are made by BMS. Just curious about what other owners have used. Thanks in advance!

Andy's are machined from a bearing grade extruded material called nylotrol 6/6 w/ molybdenum. I've made aluminum plugs in the past but I prefer the nylotrol over any metal type.

When I picked up my boat I had plugs with no logo in the boat too. They came with the boat. I did order those off the website to use instead.

And what would the benefits be having metal vs plastic? You can also buy the small sticker and make your own from aluminum but for $10, its not worth my time and cost of stickers.

I like the polymer material vs metal for several reasons.

    1 ) they don't burn bare feet
    2) they don't oxidize as bad (you can of curse have aluminum anodized )
    3) they do not beat the crap out of my phone, sunglasses or each other while stored in my glove box.
    4) not as heavy

An occasional wipe down keeps them looking great!

The decal is purchased separately from Phoenix here: https://phoenix-boat-apparel.myshopi...3-8-dome-decal

The plugs Phoenix sells are injection or blow molded. They're core/cavity type (hollow) therefore a lot lighter (easier to blow out). Mine are machine from solid extruded stock.

My price is comparable to others. Material cost vs aluminum does net some savings, but it's fairly close in cost.

I've been machining these for about 6 or 7 years. Several dealers have carried them in FL and WA state. Gary Clouse ran them and they were even in the FLW cup a few years back in Brad Knight's bird the year he won it all!

If anyone is interested in the ones Drewtic posted, shoot me a PM.

    Thanks, Hank

I have Hanks plugs in my boat for a few years now and they're great. I didn't suggest you because I didn't know if you were making them again. Can't go wrong.
