Ok got some time now. Sorry I didn't post last night. Got in late and had to catch up in the chicken house, then got a shower and watched some baseball. Got the boat in the water at 1:30. As I was walking back down to the dock I noticed some bait and lots of bluegill up shallow. First time I've seen this in a while. So I go to one of my best places shallow. Pick the jig up and on the second pitch get one about 3lbs. When I get a jig bite that quick I'm not going to put it down. Bite was pretty regular. Also started throwing the swimbait. Lots of small fish were nipping at it but when a good one got it, he smoked it. Around 4 I moved out to some flats and started throwing the crankbait. Been a long time since I had fish on Norman hit a crankbait that hard. Bait seems to be a little bigger than normal, 3 to 4 inches and I had spit up bait all over the boat. I always take my Golden Retriever with me and she enjoyed the sardines. Topwater got some hard bites shallow too. Then went back to the jig to finish out the day. If it was a moving bait the strikes were hard. Never felt a strike on a jig. Just lost the feel of the jig. If it don't feel right jerk. Had three spots over 20 inches, nice looking fish. I do believe a lot of fish are eating at night with the full moon

I was going to go to Norman tomorrow but looks like there is a tournament going out of every ramp. I'll probably just go to hickory instead.

Stained water has been best for me whether up river or down.Went last Friday and thought it would be an awesome top water day with the weather...nope.Chatter bait, swim jig and swim bait. This cool weather is going to make them more predictable I think.
