    Brady's Lake near Blakeslee?

Anyone know what the launch is like at Brady's Lake? I'm thinking of trying the lake out this weekend, just need to know if theres enough depth to launch my RT188. I honestly haven't found a launch too shallow yet for it, but the lake is an hour and a half ride.

Well, definitely a much different lake than I'm accustomed to. Very tannic water. Looked like coffee. Water temp was 57° this morning. I managed 5 bass and one pickerel. Largest bass was around 3 lbs. Here's a couple of pics.

Nice!! We stopped in right after they refilled the lake and the water was like you said. I thought it was because of all the vegetation dying off is why it looked that way but that was quite a few years ago so I guess its just that way.

How was the launch? Any troubles? Think you can launch a glass boat from it?

The launch is a pretty shallow angle. I had to back in further than usual to get the boat off. To load, I usually go in far enough that I can still walk around the back of the truck, but this time I had to jump in the bed and pull the boat on. I'd say its about tbe same as the western launch at Mauch Chunk when I launched there a couple of months ago.

A word of warning, about 20 yards off the western shoreline, there are several mounds that appear to be manmade. Maybe cribs or such. They are about 10 foot square and sit about 6 inches below the surface. The dark water combined with a little chop made it very hard to see them until I was about to hit them. Theres probably 8 or so in the same general area in 7-10 feet of water.

The water was that color when I fished it back in the late 80's

I launch my Basscat P4 there all the time. It's a little tough getting it loaded back on the trailer without using the big motor, but I have gotten pretty good at it with all the practise at trolling motor only lakes in Pa. BTW those cribs are old docks used to unload ice for people to use before there were refriderators. Since they drained the lake, my biggest bass has been around 4 lbs. Before they drained it i had caught a few 5 to 6 pounders. It should soon be good there, I've always done good there in the later fall, but don't tell anyone. LOL Ed
