    Chester County Bass Masters is holding an open, buddy tournament on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 on the Northeast River (Susquehanna Flats) out of Anchor Marine. Buddy or Solo - 5 fish limit.


    Entry fee: $90.00 per boat
    Prize money: 80% payback
    Registration : 4:45 - 6:30 a.m. at the ramp (Anchor Marina) or ( Mail In from form below )
    Launch: First light ( 6:30 a.m. )
    Tx ends at 2:30 (number must be turned in at registration table)
    Weigh-in: 2:45 pm
    pay 1 spot for every 5 boats
    Lunker pool: $10.00 per boat; 100% payback.

    Field Format: One or two anglers per boat, 5 fish per team.

    RULES

    1 - 5 fish limit per boat. Largemouth or Smallmouth. 12 inches
    2 - 8-ounce penalty per dead fish
    3 - Artificial lures only. No live bait
    4 - All 2017 Maryland fishing and boating laws will apply
    5 - All boats must be equipped with an operational aerated live well (10 gal min.)
    6 - All boats must have all safety equipment available
    7 - All boats must be inspected before launching
    8 - No alcohol or illegal drugs permitted
    9 - A 1 lb. per minute penalty will be assessed for late return, up to 15 minutes. After 15 you are
    disqualified.
    10 - Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in a disqualification
    11 - Please keep a courtesy distance from other boats
    12 - Trolling as a means of fishing is prohibited
    13 - In the event of a tie, the most-alive fish wins. If still a tie, the largest fish wins
    14 - The decision of the Tournament Director is final
    15 - There will be no fishing after your boat number is turned in at weigh-in
    16 - It is up to you to have liability insurance coverage on your boat
    17 - Solo entries are allowed
    18 - Ramp fee is responsibility of the boater.
    19 - Life vests must be worn when gas motor is running and kill switch attached when boat is in gear.
    20 - Weigh bags will be provided for contestants to use.
    21 - Off Limits :

    1 - A diagonal line from the fixed fishing pier at the town park to the east ( Blue house ) side of the first canal on the left as you leave the marina, this includes the entire Anchor Marina basin and Nauti Goose docks.
    2 - Below a west-east line across bay from south point of Bush River to south point of Still Pond Cove. The Bush River and Still Pond will be the southernmost fishable waters for the Opens.

    October 7th CCBM Open results

    Chester County Bass Masters held their 4th of five opens for the 2017 season on October 7th out of Anchor Marine in Northeast Maryland.

    32 Teams showed up on a Fall day that was more like August. Air temps at launch were around 62 with very light wind. The tournament launched at 6:50 under partly cloudy skies with a forecast high of 85.

    Air was humid and a layer of fog descended on the Northeast from 8 till 9:30, once the fog burned off temps rose quick.

    Water temps were in the 71 degree range depending on where you fished. Water color was normal stained in most areas.
    Launch was on low tide with high around noon and anglers due back at 2:30.

    12 five fish limits were brought in with 4 other teams having 4 fish. 11 double digit weights were brought to the scales.
    2 bass over 5 pounds were weighed in with 4 over 4 pounds.

    7 cash places were paid, along with 10 sponsor prizes from Susquehanna Tackle, River Bottom Reels, Cabela's of Christiana Mall, Nauti Goose Restaurant, Sunoco, Hi Seas fishing line, Zee Bait Company, Dobyns Rods, GRT Jigs, and Cal Coast fishing Clip n Cull.

    The final Chester County tournament of 2017 will be on Saturday, November 11th out of Anchor Marine.

    $ 2,630 in cash was paid along with $ 650 in sponsor prizes.

    First place cash payout and a pair of championship plaques went to the team of Terry Roberson and Andrew Chianese who put together an outstanding 5 fish limit weighing in at 17.76 pounds
    The team added to their cash pile by taking home the $320 TX Lunker pot with a hefty 5.60 Largemouth. Terry and Andrew also have a 2nd place finish in the June Open. Congrats to the team on a fantastic day.


    Second place cash went to the team of Mike Sentore and Sean McKee who put together a strong 5 fish limit weighing in at 15.91 Lbs. Mike and Sean also have a 1st place finish in the June Open. Congrats on a nice bag on a tough day.

    Third place money was won by the team of Keith and Zach Cowan who brought a 5 fish limit to the scales that topped out at 14.44 Lbs and a big bass of 4.71 Lbs. Nice weight for the day. Keith and Zach also have a 2nd place finish in the April Open.

    Fourth place dough was earned by the team of Steve Murphy and Jim Hauck. They only brought 3 fish to the scales, but two were in the five pound class. Their 3 bass weighed in at 12.21 Lbs.

    The Team also won the Susquehanna Fishing Tackle second lunker award with a 5.14 largemouth.

    Steve and Jim also have a 1st place finish at the September Open

    Fifth place coin went to the team of Sam Rineer and Rich von Nordeck who weighed in a nice 5 fish limit of 12.08 Lbs.

    Sixth place cash was collected by the team of Mike Piccolo and Bill Ville who brought 5 fish to the scales for 12.01 Lbs. with a big fish of 3.01 Lbs.

    Seventh place and the final money spot snagged by the team of James Stewart and Christopher Dupont with a 5 fish limit weighing 11.85 Lbs. and a big fish of 3.24 Lbs.

    First team to finish just out of the money was awarded a $ 50.00 gift card from Cabela's at the Christiana Mall.
    8th position and the The Cabela's card was collected by the team of Duane Essick and Jay Pirollo who brought 5 fish to the scales for 11.72 Lbs. with a 3.27 Lb. big fish.

    Ninth place and a $ 50.00 River Bottom Reels card for reel repair and maintenance from Kevin Geesey in Elizabethown, Pa. was collected by the team of Curt Dewolf and Mike Aiello who brought 5 fish to the table for 11.40 Lbs. and a big fish of 3.32 Lbs.

    Tenth place went to the team of Jesse Buss and Dan Fillippo who brought 5 fish to the scales for 10.67 Lbs. to take home a $ 50.00 Zee Bait Company card, a local plastic manufacturer from Chester Springs, Pa.

    Eleventh spot and a $ 50.00 Nauti Goose Restaurant card went to the team of Sean Geerlof and Stan Horne who brought 5 fish to the scales for 10.43 Lbs. with a big fish of 4.12 Lbs.

    Twelfth place earned a $50.00 set of Cal Coast Fishing Clip n Culls, the non puncturing type of cull tags that hold tight with a vise grip type mechanism. Steve and Mindy Allender brought 4 fish to the scales for 9.60 Lbs. with a 4.75 Lb. big fish.

    13th place took home $50.00 in Hi Seas fishing line, Luke Shrader and Cliff Humphreys weighed in 5 bass for 9.58 pounds.

    14th place earned a $ 30.00 GRT Jigs card from Scott Dise in York, Pa. Steve Weimar and Geoff Burke brought in 5 bass for 7.16 Lbs.

    15th spot took the $ 25.00 Sunoco gas card, Lou Croce and Ted Natale weighed in 4 bass for 7.13 Lbs.

    16th and final sponsor prize went to John Valdez and Ed Davis who weighed 4 fish for 7.03 pounds and took home a pair of 40 % off cards for Dobyns Rods.
