    Rangefinder

Bro-in-law wants a rangefinder. Bow hunts, deer hunts(rifle), occasionally heads out west and bow hunts but might change to a rifle hunt this year. I was looking at the Vortex Ranger 1000. Seems like a decent one for $300. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

I have some vortex scopes. As far as companies standing behind their product, vortex does it 110%.

Personally, I've only used a Leopold TBR1200 and I absolutely love it. The glass is also the clearest I've ever looked through.

If I had to do it again, I'd definitely of given a vortex a better look, but I can't imagine it getting any better than the Leopold.

I bought a Leupold I don't remember themodel good out to 400 I know. I picked it up at dicks as a demo for $150. Primarily for archery but have done a couple rifle hunts. it has been good as I am not a long range shooter anyway
