A V-20 with a 300XS or a V-21 with a 400R Verado?

211r with 400r= 611RR

Well to be honest, I would be disapointed with 74-75 with a 400R on the transome.
My late model Ranger 521c has a 250 Evinrude on the back and has seen low 70's.
Which is the point of my post, performance vs bang for buck.
So if a V-20 with a 300XS can do mid 70's (don't know this for sure) why spend the extra coin (which is considerable by the way) if all things are essentially equal.

Didnt the Massive 21.6ft Jaguar run 84 with a 400R? Just asking
Yes The Jag broke well through the 80mph barrier. The Legend and Bass Cat are two of the few boats that can run this motor.
And to Risco, the price difference between a V-20 and 21 is not that significant but when you are talking about the big Verado, there is where you need the money. So if the hull (V-21) has performance limits (mid 70's with the 400) then it does not make sense.
Also I sent an email to Legend directly from their site on Monday, tomorrow is Thursday and still no reply.
Are you strictly looking for a Legend?
They are completely updating their computer systems. Apparently things where very outdated. This all a part of the merger / acquisition. They are getting bigger and better. I'd try calling directly.
Legends are not " go-fast boats" . If that's what your looking for you should probably branch out with other options.
Well a STERLING BASS BOAT can handle the 400r motor no problem at all..
An Allison XB21 will be in thr 90's with a 250
