Don't always do what the wife wants, when she wants it

My wife was on me all spring and summer to hang a swing on this limb of a big White Oak next to our pond. I kept putting it off for various reasons, and never got around to it. This past Friday morning between 7:00 and 8:00 am, it came down due to being rotten inside where it met the tree. This limb is probably 20 - 25 feet long and weighs in the neighborhood of a ton( tow branches). It got jammed against the tree trunk which kept it from going all the way to the ground. It scares me to think of her and my grand daughter sitting in a swing when that thing came down.

Good thing you didn't do it. Just remember not to remind here that you were right or maybe somewhat lazy. That will just fire her up more than likely and she will think of another task for you to do... maybe of the same caliber.
