    Removing glued down hardwood flooring

My parents house flooded during Harvey and they have to remove the hardwood floor that's glued to the concrete. we tried using just a hammer and pry bar with little success the wood was just splintering. so i thought i would ask on here if anyone had some advice thats better than what we were doing. i know its going to be labor intensive but was hoping there is something better, thanks.

You might try a rental for the electric scraper that the floor trades use to remove tile. Sorry I forget the name of it. Rips right thru the thinset and tile. Its Heavy and you walk behind it
