this is a very touchy subject for me. IMO if you can’t stand for the national anthem then find an entrance and don’t come back.

I was telling my wife last night that in all of the larger tournaments that I've fished when the national anthem is played everyone stands and removes their hat. You could hear a pin drop at many of them due to the anglers and tourney staff paying their respects. That's how it should be everywhere.

A caller phoned in to Bryan Thrift's and Matt Arey's weekly Facebook show and thanked them for not taking a knee during the anthem. They made the comment that if anyone did, he wouldn't be a professional fisherman very long. My feelings exactly. I equate kneeling to burning the flag. Just my opinion.

My son stopped by for some snacks *(I usually have a little spread for sunday football)* he was surprised that the TV wasn't on football I explained if the nfl doesn't respect the national anthem I could chow down and watch old MLF tournaments I have taped and chow down at least they have respect for our country.
