I can't trim my motor all the way down when it's on the trailer, because if I do the skeg will hit the floor. Is this normal for a BassCat?

Yes is the short answer. Try lowering the tounge if you want to lower your motor completely. I fish year round so I raise my jackate so that the motor is all the way down. So. All the water can drain out.

Thanks for the answer. Only other boats I had were Rangers from the 80s and the motors never hit, so I was wondering. Trailer sits pretty level so I don't think I need to drop the tongue. I also fish year round and that's really why I'm curious about this. Last thing I want is to have water freeze in my lower unit.
