    Battery hookups

08 Alumscape 5th wheel. Are the batteries hooked up as 24 volt or 12 volt? My problem is:new batteries hooked up as 12 volt, only thing running off of batteries are my electric jacks, no lights etc. if I switch it over for 24 volt what will happen if it is fact a 12 volt system and there is another problem somewhere in the system? Fire, smoke, blown fuses or nothing?

I've never seen a 24V RV, so don't switch to 24. Your refrigerator will be damaged for certain.

Look for a battery disconnect switch in the basement or front compartment.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

The disconnect is "on", all fuses in panel are ok. I was thinking there might be a device changing 24 volt down to 12 I know they exist I just don not know where to look.

Found a circuit breaker (like the ones for our trolling motors) that had tripped, crisis over, for now.
