Calling out for help from Pro's Choice Pete, because Ranger's web site shows custom colors available for both models of the 519 but not for the 520L or 521L. I'd be surprised if this is accurate, but also surprised that the question hasn't come up sooner....

You can custom color your boat on the L boats they are working on adding the custom finish shop on rangers site for the L boats. My custom colored Z520L was shipped today. Coloring a boat can be hard and I have learned a lot from my dealer about which colors go with what etc. Are you looking at getting a L boat?

You can still color them pretty much any way that you want. Here is an example.......

I knew Pete had been getting custom colors on the new L boats, but I figured it was because he is special!

Connie said they are getting rid of "Graphite Mist" soon and replacing it with "Shadow Mist".

She said the custom finish shop should be updated late October-ish...

It's an awesome looking rig, but you have to be the toughest man to ever step foot in a boat. Damn that's going to be hot. Larry
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

Contrary to popular belief, black carpet really isn't any hotter than Ash. If it's 95 degrees outside on a blue bird day and the temperature of the Ash carpet is 160 degrees, the black might be 165. I can't tell the difference, ad I can't walk barefoot on Ash carpet in the heat of the summer.

And black seats? Charcoal vinyl burns my skin in the summer just like the black does.

The biggest difference I have seen where black feels hotter to the skin is the top deck stripe. White ones are cool, but you DO NOT want to walk up to a boat with a Black top deck stripe and put your elbows on it.......that hurts! LOL

I am speaking from my experience of photographing several black carpeted boats in the screamin' heat, as well as experience from my personal Ranger that has black carpet in it.

Plus the black carpet would show my peanut butter cracker crumbs worse than my gray carpet.

I have had black onyx for my top deck color the last two years.......no issues as mentioned. Go for it.
