    300 ft readings

I have 3 G2N helix 12s. Two at console (one for mapping G2n DI and one mega SI G2nfor graphing). I have a g2n DI at the bow with 360. The bow graph is always reading in the 200-400 ft range and my 2d picture is not looking correct. Ex. It will say I'm in 300 ft (when I'm actually in about 15ft) and my lake bottom line will be be way the top and basically renders my 2d useless at the bow. I know how to use the units very well and have messed with the settings a bunch and still does it. What can the problem be? I thought I remember reading on here others had the same issue and that a software update for the new units is needed?

What transducer do you have on the trolling motor?

Does it give screwed up readings all the time or just when the motor is running?

All the time. I'm thinking I should update software to 1.46 from 1.4 that I have on there after I restore defaults. Then if that doesn't work I have a spare transducer I can put on from my other same exact unit I just use for mapping. If that doesn't work I guess I'll have to send it in

Have you ran the bow unit without the console units operating? Cross-talk may be the issue.

Is there a reason you have not exchanged the transom transducer for the proper one for trolling motor use?

I'm under the impression the one I have on there is for trolling motor use? I have 3 units and the one I have on console for mapping is not hooked up to a transducer. That's why I have a spare. The one on trolling motor and the spare are definitely trolling motor use narrow ones. One on transom is much larger and wider. I have had the other units on standby mode and still have same issue

IF it's the XNT transducer it is designed for the transom. The XTM version has more shielding and is designed for the trolling motor.

Have you tried to reset defaults to see if that helps in case a setting go messed up.

Anybody have a pic of the trolling motor mounted transducer I should have? I wish I could load pics on here I'd just post the one I have on there. My Phoenix boat dealer put everything on so I'd assume it's the correct one. I'll restore defaults and try that.

There is nothing wrong with what you have if you don't have RFI issues.

If the dealer did not do on-the-water testing with that transducer to determine if you can "get by" with it, then it was a crap-shoot.

Only issue I'm having is the depth readout. Considering i have 3 linked and 360 I would have thought there would be more issues. Going to try to restore defaults and 1.46 software update. I currently have 1.4
