    E: E = Evinrude, A = indicates a counter rotation w/ dynamic power steering (DPS)
    250: Horsepower
    L: Shaft Length L = 20" long, X = 25" X-long, Z = 30" XX-long
    HO: Design Features C = Counter Rotation, D = Evinrude E-TEC, G = Graphite Paint, H = High Output, O = Hydraulic Steering (non-power assist), U = Non-RAVE (300 HP only)
AB: Model identification First two characters identify model version AA first major variant, AB second major variant, AF third major variant, AG, AH etc (Will not use letters from the word INTRODUCES to identify model)
A: Model Revision The third character identifies model revision AA A first revision, AA B second revision subsequent revisions continue A thru Z

So your number is an Evinrude 250 high output hydraulic steering (non-DPS) second major variant first revision.

If you would post the serial number, one of the pros might look it up for you.

That page in the manual should have one of those warning boxes... "reading this may cause severe personal injury "

He sent an engine report, The boat/motor is at Cabela's in NC. Any current recalls are on www.evinrude.com. The selling dealer should make sure that everything is up to date. Make sure you get as much warranty as you have coming to you.

As far as the actual motor goes they are all the same, now if you got auto-trim, power assist steering those are a few bells and whistles. What about display/gauge package did you get the digital display or did you get the Icon gauge?

That Stratos is going to kick a$$ with that G2! An easy 75 and probably more.
    Did you get the hotfoot?
You'll want the optional neck brace, as well.

Yeah that's the 3.5c display. It will show you just about everything in a bunch of different ways. It effectively replaces all the other gauges you're used to using. Plus, it will allow you to select hotfoot or CSM, auto trim and a couple of other things. If your main digital display is compatible, it might also show motor and boat data.

As 86 Inches pointed out the torque is absolutely unreal, when u push that hot foot hold on. Make sure you aren't in any tight spaces when you first run it, its crazy responsive
