Fury prop on a 201 Stratos

I am currently running a 26 Fury on my 201 Pro XL with a 250 OX66 Yamaha. I am turning this prop up to 6000 rpm's and only hitting 65 mph....I just banged up 2 of the blades...Should I have Mark pitch it up to a 27?

If you were turning 6000 rpm's and only getting 65 before you banged it up I'd bet you were running it too high prop to pad. The Fury 3 blade doesn't like to run high and with the slip you have something is off.

I got the motor down pretty far (got 25 psi water pressure) Am I getting that much slip? I got 72-73 with a 27 Tempest and 27 T-1

Need to get a prop to pad measurement first and tell us what that is? Also how much setback you running?

    Fury likes to run deeper.

6000K @ 65mph tells me either you are running it too high = too much slip

    OR

    that prop needs work!

Based of the jackplate and prop height it needs to be reworked

It was showing 26% slip before you banged it up and that's pretty bad.

Send it to Mark have it repaired and have him add some tip cup. You really need 8-10 inches of setback to let the prop run in cleaner water. Set prop to pad at 3.5" and you should see a big difference. Just to give you an idea I was running 12" setback with a 25p fury at 3" prop to pad. Dual 12ft talons and 4 batteries. Top speed was 75 mph. You might want to check out a 26p trophy. It did everything my fury did but had better lift and seen a increase in mpg when cruising due to less boat in the water. Ive tested a bunch of props and the 26p trophy was best all around prop.
