Has anyone else attempted to get the pedal in the recess? My motor has been built and I should see it on the 28th.

I got mine "functional". It was a chore for me. The e-ped is the kicker. The trolling motor cable is in the way of the e-ped knob so my graph doesn't flush all the way down now but is functional. After warranty I will Dremel tool the foot pedal to fit. Good luck.

I think they may have changed the foot pedal recess design. Check out the black and yellow boat they just put up as the cover image on the facebook page, it looks more squared off in back.

Yes, Allison has redesigned the foot well to accommodate the Ultrex and the Ulterra pedal.

They also are shipping new boats with the new an improved CMC jack plate with the guide strips between plates and a new outer guide system.

I managed to adapt a Helix 12 to my e-ped, replaced a HDS 10, i cant remember now without looking but I believe my e-ped is now sitting 1/2" - 3/4" higher than with the HDS 10. So the cable may clear the knob on mine.

I am not opposed to raising the pedal like Allyfishing did but I'd prefer not to, I was dead set on trimming the foot pedal plastic but I am a little hesitant now after seeing all of the main board/dead pedal issues reported here. However I do know mine was ordered right before they stopped production to come up with a fix and should be the most current version main board.

I know they are working on a recessed pedal tray for us olderr boats with tbhe retrofit tray already.

My pedal is raised some like Allyfishing's. Between an inch and 2 inches.

Brought my Ultrex home this past weekend.....any last minute suggestions before I attempt to mount the pedal on Saturday?

Measure twice....drink a beer....measure 2 more times...drink 2 more beers...measure a few times and curse...drink another beer and call it a day. Think about it whilst drinking a few more beers.......Oh, and draw lots of diagrams with the measurements you've collected. Even cut out templates from cardboard works good too.
