    LOZ help

    Hi all

We had to change our vacation because of the Hurricanes and I am now coming to LOZ and bringing my bass boat.

Planning to fish early on a few mornings next week. We are at Mile Marker 19.
Any recomendations on where to go or what to try would be greatly appreciated, I don't know the lake or how to fish it as I fish the Mississippi where I live.
Do I need to get a map chip for my Humminbird?

    Thanks

I have been fishing the main lake points into the back of the creeks. Trying to catch them as they are coming into or out the creek. Bait is everywhere as of last week. All balled up and moving. As wishitwasbigger said spinnerbait and jigs nothing wrong with a big ole 10" worm. Had some luck off of frontside of docks. Temp was 78 (average) some place were 80 where I was fishing last week. Good luck

I am staying across from Dogdays bar and grill.

Going to get out each morning around 6:45am before family gets up.
The bluffs mentioned .... is that the bluffs where there are no houses ? I drove by there this eve and also saw some points that looked good.
I am a mississippi river person so this lake fishing is a bit new, not used to fishing deeper water.
Fished a bit in the rain in our boat harbor and only caught a couple of shorts up by the retaining wall. Tried around docks but they are in 30+ ft of water.

Thanks again for all the assists

Not greatly familiar with LOZ or exactly where you are staying but I do know if you run up the Gravois arm you will find water color that will be more like the river that you fish.

Yes it's the bluffs that run into the twin islands.

Was there last year and the ned rig was hot this time of year around the docks. Buzzbait and spinnerbaits did pretty good in the backs of the coves too. Fish the docks that expand closest to the schools of bait. They seemed to be concentrated more in those areas.
