    Coffee Stained Carpet

Yep...spilt coffee on the carpet. Anyone know the best way to get rid of the stain?

Oh crap! I did that once and my wife got it out, but I'm not sure how.
She took over when I couldn't get it.
There is a bunch of threads I remember reading on here somewhere tho.
Lots of little tricks that work if you can find it. Someone should sticky that one.

Saturate the stained area with water, and suck it up with a shop vac. Do it till its gone. a stiff brush with a small bit of dawn soap will help.

Spray and soak with rubbing alcohol, then soak it up with towel. Once dry mix half cup of dawn dish soap, 12oz Water, and teaspoon of peroxide. Soak area again and let sit for about 10 minutes. Gently scrub area only affected then wash off.

X2. This is what my wife uses around the house and on the seats in our vehicles. I started using it in the boat and it works pretty good.

Folex stain remover. Can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes. Last weekend it removed the rust stains in the boat carpet below the back seat. Good stuff. Spray on let it so gently scrub and pat dry or shopvac.

Time to sell it Dave, you ruined it.

I've spilled more coffee in my boat than I can remember, so far it has come out. A lot of times I will flush the area right away with water so it does not dry.

    But for you, sell it!!!

water and shopvac has worked with me. Is there anything better then a cup of coffee (not on floor) in your hand on the lake as the sun comes up over the horizon

Great tips. I tried to wet it and flush it while fishing but got side tracked so it dried.
    Thanks !

Just be sure whatever you use does not dissolve carpet glue!
