    Additional Lighting

Looking to add some lighting bling over the winter....Thinking I may just want to tap into the current compartment and courtesy lights using T Tap connectors for simplicity

Anyone had any trouble doing this or advise against??

I am not by any means an electrical expert

I want to get some red green bow lights to put in my rub rail anyone know where to get them? Any issues with them, will having a space in the rub rail insert be bad?

I looked at blue water it appears all their lights are stick on?

Im looking for some that will fit inside my rail. I can make them myself by inserting them in a clear hose and soldering together the red green for front and black light for the rest of the way around, but I thought someone may already have a rail kit?

The Bluewater fit perfectly inside the rail without sticking out to get bumped or pulled out. If you want a rubrail "kit" look at nightfishion lights. A little pricey but they are awesome.

I guess Im confused, your cutting the round rub rail insert and sticking the led inside the channel? not putting them inside a clear rub rail insert?

I don't put mine inside an insert. I cut the rubrail out and notch both ends of the insert where the ends of the BW kinda fit behind then then use some black rtv to go around the edges. I'll see if i have pictures.

    Thanks Jeff

I prefer the 8 extreme and you can customize the way you want, I have the Nav lights up front, or you can get docking lights, also moon glow in the middle to light the bank

all uv black lights will attract bugs at a certain time of night but the good thing is they never come above the rubrail

I will PM you my contact at NF

Yep the bugs typically will stay right at the light and they don't really bother me any.

I used the bluewaters for the bow lights and plan on installing Oznium LED bolts for deck lighting since they flush mount (did it on my last boat and they work really well)

They can see Drew's boat from the international space station.
I'd love to have the Nightfision. Ultrex first.
