    USA Boat Ramp Status

I have been getting a lot of calls here at Toho Marine asking about the status of different boat ramps from here all the way to Clewiston. Here are the ones I have been able to visit...

Lake Toho City Ramp - CLOSED until further notice - fenced off - Floating launch docks damaged, TONS of hydrilla piled up on the ramps and docks - Currently no eta on repair
Lake Toho - Whaleys Landing - Ramp clear and open - water is only about an inch from covering the dock though
Lake Cypress - Ramp is completely flooded - Floating dock ok but walkway to dock is roughly 20 yards in the water :(

    Lake Okeechobee
Scott Driver - Ramp appears to be ok, no debris
Lock 7 - blocked with A LOT of floating debris

Most of the central Florida ramps on St John's river are closed except for downtown Monroe marina ramp. However, the sheriff's department is patrolling the river and telling anyone in a boat to leave. Concern is that boat wakes are doing quite a bit of flood damage on resident homes. Had a buddy run off the lake by the law yesterday.

Mullet Lake park is closed - in fact the water has risen to 150 yards outside the park entrance.

C.S. Lee Park boat ramp is also closed

Yea Monroe is flooded.. Once they open the river back up, the "pay" ramp at 17/92 bridge will be open. Prolly 2-3 weeks before the "free" ramp at the 17/92 bridge reopens.. Its flooded up into the parking lot.

    Highbanks Rd. is flooded/closed..

On a different note, anyone coming from Kissimmee to Sanford, stop by that Toho City ramp and scoop up a couple buckets of fresh hydrilla and then pour it in Monroe on your way by!! (only half kidding..) lol

Slims ramp is ok, but the water is very high out there too. Earlier this month when I launched from the little ramp, I had to reach up on to the dock to hold the boat, while my partner climbed the ladder to get out. Today, I rested my arm on the dock and my partner just stepped on to the dock!! Fishing was pretty bad to. But... there were a lot of areas that had clean water. Good luck!!

City Ramp on Lake Toho is open on a limited status as of last Wednesday. The center ramp lanes were open, but the docks are all still roped off as they have not been fixed yet. I will be down there again this Wednesday so I will try and remember to post Thursday when I get back in the shop...

Tetters Oct. 7th Tourney is cancelled due to ramps being closed and high water levels on the river.
