Prior ranger owner here as well (354v, 195VS)
had my 919 since Feb, love the boat, have conquered the chine walk
Only quirk is less idle speed maneuverability and poor steering/maneuverability in reverse

Im glad somebody else pointed this out, i thought maybe i was crazy. The boat doesnt steer well at all in reverse compared to other boats ive driven. Of course its a non issue and i love my bird, but i thought maybe if forgot how to drive

If you trim up high the steering gets easier in reverse. You have to punch it sometimes to get the bow going the way you want it too.
