Why not? Does it not perform on that particular hull?

Im more concerned about rough water ride than speed. How is the stability at rest? Will I feel my partners every move on the back deck? I have no desire to go 80+ mph.

If you are looking for a very stable boat that eats up rough water but DOESNT go 80 there are better choices than a 20ft Bullet

A 21fter will be MUCH better in rough water, little more stable, and still run faster than most other boats

I've fished with my neighbor who has a 06 20xd with a 250 Merc. Roughest riding boat, in rough water, from a passenger's stand point I've ever been in. They're light enough you can tell when someone moves around in it also. Let's just say if you're not looking to do 80+ then like J Risco said above there are better options out there. That's just my opinion. A lot of people around where I live have bullets. All say the 21ft bullets ride a lot better, they're almost 22ft, 21'10" but I haven't yet rode in one so I can't comment on them.

Sounds like your neighbor needs some driving lessons if it rides rough

    amen

My 20'er is not rough riding.
You may not want 80 now, but you will.
    Been down this road.

True. Granted, that 200 on a Bullet is much better than being on the much heavier boats, but why have a high performance boat if you don't utilize it. Besides psj706, once the speed bug bites ya, you'll want more power! As far as ride, Bullets are like Cadillacs.

I had a 20xd. The ride was just fine in rough water. You have to drive it different than the heavier boats. Trim up more and skip over the waves not down and plow. Ran one year with a Ranger owner as a co in the NC sound. Some of the nastiest water I have seen. Out going tide, wind blowing in. He said he was very surprised with the ride because of everything he heard about Bullets. He even mentioned we would have speared some of the waves in his boat. You have to learn how to drive the boat in rough water. Read the waves and be proactive not reactive. I am also a Bullet fan. I have been just about every boat brand out there. For fit, finish and performance I don't think there is a better boat.

Like a Cadillac in rough and a Lamborghini when you punch it! I'm playing in the mid 90's with my all around prop, but have a couple "speed" props a buddy has that I plan on testing for top numbers.
