    Tachometer question

    Currently have a 4 stroke, 50hp, 4 cylinder, 2004, f50tlrc. Possibly switching to a '93 25 HP 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, 25elrr.
    Will this tach work on the 2 stroke? If so, where would I set it? How many poles does the 2 cylinder have?

    Number on back of tach is 65982-001
