    Deer hunting

    Did any one go deer hunting Sat. Think it was the first day of the season . Was down East in Wilson and talk to a few guys at a store .

    Took my 12 yr old son and he killed his first deer with a bow. 9 ptr in velvet.

    Not seen or heard anyone i know that went. Son wants to bow hunt and he waited kind of late to get into it i think.

    I went sat eve and mon eve... poor movement both times... saw a handful of does each trip...

    Been some nice deer shot in and around Rockingham County. Saw pics of 17 pointer that scored 158.
