TH Marine Trolling Motor Plug Install

I am installing a new TH Marine Ranger Trolling Motor Plug for my MK Fortrex. I made the mistake of not taking note of which plug terminals took the positive and negative wires.

The top of the plug has 4 input terminals, numbered 1-4, can anybody tell me which number ports the positive and negative wires from the TM go in to?

Are you using a 4 wire system from the batteries, are do you jump positive to negative at the battery?

Jumped at the battery.

If you're jumped at the battery, then you'll just have two wires to the plug receptacle. Match the trolling motor side to the receptacle and don't use the metal strip jumper.
