I have noticed that Sprint boat owner don't have near the problems as do the other manufacturers . Glad I have a Sprint

They were a great boat, some bad decisions made by management were their downfall... Wish they were still made... Dan
Travis boating centers didn't help either....but Dan is right, it ultimately is on the management to make the right decisions....
Yup, Travis Boat Center (couldn't remember their name) has A LOT to do with their demise... Dan
I love my 296 DC. No problems at all just trying to figure out the live wells.
Yep they were great boats. I wouldn't care a bit to own another one.
Totally agree, I bought a used 290 DC many years ago, then got out of fishing for awhile and now back into fishing and searched and for another Sprint to complete the journey. I never even considered looking for any other boat other than a Sprint ! Very happy again with my 280 PRO.

I saw a couple of sprints on the market place on facebook
Hey guys, looking to purchase my first bass boat. I just looked at a 1999 sprint 286 DC with a 1999 150hp Johnson with 2 lowrance hds7, 70 min Kota edge trolling motor, power tilt/trim, manual jack plate. Has rips in the seats, but everything seems solid. Going to have it compression tested and possibly a new power pack (it isn't running right now, but he is bringing to mechanic to fix tomorrow).
What would be a fair price if he gets it running and the test drive/compression test check out? Listed initially at 10k, then dropped to 6500

Thanks, this will be my first bass boat (previously all saltwater) so any guidance is appreciated
One thing you'd want to see (if it's still there) a sticker on the back side that says "COMPOSITE TRANSOM". To me, that was a high priority when I bought my 2nd Sprint as I've replaced a transom in a 26' boat before and it ain't anything I'd ever want to do again. Check pumps, live well dump valve, wiring (under dash), some can be a real mess and fire hazard. Seats can be replaced. Carpet condition etc. etc all bargining tools for a final price. Good luck.

Thank you, I will be sure to take another look. What would you suspect to be a fair price?

Thanks Gary, appreciate it
It seems the prices are high right now for used boats, I remember a couple years ago my 207 was worth only 7700. with a 225.... If it checks out at that price, that is a good rig.
The guy is going to sell me it for 4,000
