    Unhappy Ultrex Problem

    Ultrex 112/45/link
    It worked great....until today.

about 11:30 sat down to eat a sandwich and decided to use the remote for the first time to get familiar with it.

did this for about 20 minutes trying the different option on the remote.

THEN the motor just shut off

remote say it can't find motor

    Motor has no power

    circuit breaker did not trip

    Just no power to motor

    What can I do????????????

    First thing is trip/reset breaker

Next is to test for voltage at the bow to see if you have power

If you have power to the motor your next step is to call MK

    Thanks,

Just went out with multitool and when I checked batteries was not getting any volt at batteries.
Winds up one of the links between batteries had popped, Forgot there was a breaker there also besides the big breaker after the batteries.
Pushed the reset and it powered up

Had TM at 10 on remote for a few minute prior to it shutting off, guess that was to much for the link breaker

The Ranger (in your signature) should be wired with 6ga wire which is sufficient for the trolling motor. That being said, you should check all your connections at the battery, plug, breakers, etc. If you don't fix what caused it, it will happen again. BTW, if you have another breaker that is on the positive wire going to the trolling motor, the breaker in the jumper is not needed.

My Bass Cat also had a breaker on the jumper wire on my 24 volt system. I removed it and just have the one outgoing to the trolling motor. To me, it was just another potential source of failure, and, as John mentioned, unnecessary.
