Looking to do something like this back deck cushion, on the back of my Champion Fishunter. Where do I begin ?

My wife used to bring her rectangular swim pad and lay on the back deck. It was a vinyl coated closed cell foam, similar to this (but without the pillow roll):

Was perfect size, easy to roll up, and stowed in the bilge when not being used, or when running.

Your local upholstery shop should be able to make something for you.

I had something like tha on tha on my first boat. IMO, don't do it. They were a major league PITA to keep down, and they don't fit in a locker when running.

Oh hadn't thought about that (keeping them down). I just assumed they would have a decent # of snaps to hold em down and there wouldn't be any issue.

It was a huge issue at least for me. We stopped using them after the 3rd or fourth time.
