Time to redo my wet sand ?

It's going on 7 yrs since I wet sanded my boat it is still smooth and looks great in the shade but in bright sun I can see the haze and now it is not just the top cap but down the sides , inside that is will this be ok to wet sand again without ?destroying the gel coat

Go light, as in not abrasive so that it barely removes any material. I would guess you could start above 1000 grit and still get good results if it was done 7 years ago. I would even try a small spot with 1500 first just to see if it was enough to remove the haze.

Before doing that just see if some good rubbing compound on a medium pad will take it up before even sanding

You should be able to sand it again but start with way less aggressive paper...even try a buffing compound. 3M Marine compound and finishing material and the Protec Nu Paint Moisturizer is a 3000 grit matieral. As stated above buff it first. Just remember you can't keep grinding on it. If you start less aggressive and it don't work, you've waisted some gel on that test.
