    Lower unit 1B709433 09' 250 Pro Xs

Had a lower unit go out and it's gone. Case n all.
Was told it's the Sportmaster.? Hoping for a miracle anyone have something around or insight on if I can get a cheap SEI to get back on the water quick and just not run it hard? I think I'm begging for the cheapest miracle possible.

    Tourney next weekend the 16-17th

Thanks for any direction or help.

Sportmasters are designed for hulls that run 85+ mph.

Never heard of a Ranger needing a sportmaster! I'm no expert, but a gen. 1 torquemaster or a verado/servicemaster lower unit should fit the bill.

Nick- better check your serial number.

ProXS models have NEVER come with Sportmaster Gearcases.

And that serial number isn't a ProXS model:

    Serial# 1B709433
    Model# 1115F13HD
    MERCURY 115EFI ELPT 4 Stroke (L4NA).
    DOB: 7/7/08

It's actually 1B719433. Sorry about the wrong info.

Someone replaced the original I imagine with a Sportmaster. I would love to know what I can slap on and a deal available or floating around. These things are confusing.

    Thank you!

It is at the dealer all torn down. Pinion blew a hole in it. If they didn't scrap it yet I'll try and get a pic. The only thing left on the Ranger is the mid section up.

This is all I have at the moment from a pic that wasn't intended to be used to show the lower. I need one of these. Dealer called it a Sportmaster.

But this sure doesn't seem to be now that I look at it. I had to google Sportmaster. Not sure which this looks like now. Hope pic worked this time.

In that picture I see, it appears to be a torquemaster gen 1 lower unit. Going by the only thing I can, see, front leading edge. Did you have a solid metal hub for props or do you remember it having the fatshaft, 1.25 inches diameter?

Usually a few used ones for sale here, check that out or see of Don et all have something too.

That's indeed a Gen-1 Torquemaster. We have them available brand new, or CPO/Reman.

If your dealer thought this was a Sportmaster... (respectfully) it might be time to look for another one of those too.
