    chasing the rumor.

I started bass fishing about 15 years ago. As a kid back in the 50s and 60s my dad fished with night crawlers and I used a rubber worm. How times have changed. For the last 15 years or so I would get a hot tip on what bait to use on Kentucky lake. Sure enough I would go out that day and get two. We know that if you have to have one then you always buy 2. For example, two days ago Tony told me they tore them up throwing a chrome rattle trap. I have heard the same thing with red eye shad, one legged frogs etc. Sure enough I go out, buy two and head for the lake yesterday. True to my experience I don't get a bite, not one! Finally I figured it out. I suck at catching fish.

They don't make lures for the fish. No fish ever bought a lure. $$$$$

Most Lures are designed to catch "Fishermen" than to catch FISH !!

AND, they work very well !!
    Ranger Boats / Mercury Motors
G Loomis Rods / Shimano Reels
    Raymarine / MinnKota Ultrex
    Garmin / Live Scope Plus
    Pepper Jigs / Robo Worms
    Troll Bridge / V-T2 Vents

I get the sarcasm but a Chrome Trap is a staple on any lake with shad? Not sure how this can be categorized with "gimmick baits"? They are worth every penny and then some! But like any other bait, there is a time and place and a subtle art for how to work just about any lure made. More to it then just chuckin n windin
