    Classic Feedback

Out of the few boats that have sold to date, anyone on here have any real world numbers and input on the classic? Still very interested in this model and will be ordering another boat in the next couple months.

200 SHO, 25p prop, not sure of P2P, but the adjustable jack plate slide was dead even with the static part of the plate.

After two hour brake in a few short full throttle runs...5100 rpm was the most it would turn even at full trim. Consistently ran 66-67mph at 5100.

I'm guessing the jp needs to come to come up some. Ride was good, handled wakes well, drives like it's on rails.

Speed sounds about right for RPM. However the RPM is WAY low. I'd certainly start raising the jack plate some as it ought to be able to spin that prop reasonably. Don't over trim however, as that wastes power. Raise jack plate slowly, 1/4" at a time, making 2-way speed runs to eliminate current, wind and wave effects. Watch water pressure also, as you won't want to overheat due to water starvation. you are way down on RPM. That motor needs to run near 6000.

I came to the conclusion the jp was WAY too low, the bow stayed super high unless I trimed it all the way out. Based on what I've read about BC's needing very little trim, it needed way to much to run optimally or even get the rpm up around 5,100. My last rig had a Yamaha so I knew that near 6K is where you want your rpms to be. Being new to BC I have no idea how sensitive the hull will be to jp adjustments, but based on my last boat I went up .5" as a start and we'll see how it goes from there
