    Jig vise recommendations

Any thoughts on what one to get? They sure are pricey. Don't want to spend a lot of money as I just tie them up for myself. Thanks for looking. I have the lure parts online catalog . Just not sure what one I need.

I've used this for about 3 years now. Ive probably tied 3-400 jigs and it's still going strong. It's a basic vise and only 15 bucks.

What kind of jigs you tying? I got one of those and it won't take 3/0-4/0 hooks

All Jigs. I use a Swim Jig with a 6/0 hook. Not quite sure what you mean it won't take a 3/0 hook? All you're doing is clamping down the hook.

I've adjusted mine out as far as I can get it, I think, and with the hook in there, I can't get lever down to lock it in place, it only goes about half way, mine must not be exactly the same

It's adjustable. Slide the hook to where you want it. Start to pull the lever down until it makes contact with the hook. Then back the nut off until you can squeeze the lever down.

wire tied, braid, nylon. No issues. 7/0 down to 1/0 hooks. I LAN to get a rotating one some day. Maybe.

Thanks for the reminder. I have that same vise and it works very well. I had forgotten about those two additional jaws and went down to the basement and found them in the original box the vise came in. I don't know that I'll need them. But, in the process I found a couple of big rolls of old living rubber that I forgot that I had!
