    797 questions

looking for some info on the 797. i carry between 175-200lbs of tackle, rods, and all the other things. im 175 and my partner is a little over 200. what kind of average speeds should i expect with the 797 and a 250 merc or yamaha? also, with the addition of the 210 elite is there any chance of the 797 being phased out? thanks.

I think the 97 will stay. I have only seen one on ft. Gibson. Thing is bigger than the 210 from what I could see. From what I gather on here, you're looking at 70 to 75 average top end depending on props, temps, setup, etc. Some faster and some slower, but a big wide fishing machine.

You should see 70-72 with that based on some reports, maybe more. I doubt that they'll phase out the 797, it's a fairly new model.

No plans to phase out the 797 any time soon.

70-72 fully loaded ,light load 75.Updates are coming so no plans of killing it as it's a awesome fishing platform that competes against the 521,v21,nitroz21 etc.

Yeah a 300 Verado Pro would be killer on the back of a 797

Not as killer as a 400Pro! I'm dying to see a 400 on a charger.

Kzehr buy one please then hit me up to help you break it in. If ever get my kids grown, I might have one, but right now they eat my new boat budget up. Literally, like a quarter pounder or two at a time.

Charger should put a 400 on the back of a 797 and give it to me as a demo boat. Pro wannabes on Grand lake don't like being passed bet I could sale a few quickly.
