Check out U-/tube and there are videos on H-bird and a new satellite map for H-bird.

Some of the youtube videos show a similar map to the standard mapping image. For some reason they don't look like that anymore. They changed all the land areas to a red color to show the water better. It is a good map but no where near the clarity of the standard mapping for lowrance.

Do you have that one. Mine is all red land, and so was the ones Humminbird tried when I called to ask about it. Just wondering if the older ones were not. If I would not like the lakemaster Toledo bend chip so much I would have gone back to Lowrance for the mapping.

Yes I do, looks great. Better than the Navionics 651 card.

I prefer the lakemaster over the navionics....I am currently running both now just for comparison.

I've had great success with the Navionics Platinum South card. It has been very helpful in finding some of the cleaner backwater bays and sloughs whenever Im in Louisiana.

it shows satellite imagery. Navionics has some blank spots in certain areas. But better than nothing.

Dang, There are some out there that shows the satellite imagery similar to the standard mapping chip. Then, some like mine show everything that is land with a fuzzy red look. It is a satellite image. The quality when zooming in is not that good. I know the folks at Humminbird tried the chip in a few units they had there and they showed up similar to mine. Nothing like the U-Tube video when they came out. It is fine for what it is supposed to do I guess. The bad thing about the red/black images is it makes trails hard to see in certain areas.
