    Minor fading ?

    Which would be most effective for buffing out very minor fading finess it or pro tec ?

    Everybody's "minor fading" definition is different. I just finished a 21' bay boat that had "minor fading" so the owner said. It took 4 rounds of sanding and a couple rounds of buffing to get it perfect....IMO start with the least aggressive method first. If your results are satisfactory to you you're good. If the fading comes back pretty quick you'll have to be a little aggressive to remove all the oxidation. I would not start with anything less than a 3000 grit compound.
