NURSING HOME VISIT
A young clergy new in the ministry was given the duty to visit the shut-ins at Mindyer Manors Nursing Home.
He quietly knocked at a room door that was partially opened, and whispered "Mrs. Oldsag, are you resting?"
"Oh come in come in" She cleared her throat, "Yes I'm awake".
The minister smiled and took a chair next to her bed and began small talk. Soon they were chatting for a time, and the minister noticed a bowl of peanuts on the table. "Do you mind?" He asked "I love peanuts".
"Oh help yourself" she coughed slightly.
"After they spent more time talking, he apologized for eating almost all the peanuts.
"Oh I'm glad to see them go" she drooled slightly. "I can suck the chocolate off of 'em, but i can't chew the nut anymore"
