    Early Muzzleloader Hunt

Found out today I was drawn for early muzzleloader hunt on conservation area 20 minutes from the house! Gonna have to spend some time with ol' Betsy to make sure she is up to the task!

Nice! Muzzleloader season has always been my favorite. Started out about 30 years ago with a Cabela's cap-lock Hawkin with brass buttplate...now have a T/C Encore. I have so much faith in my Encore, I will often take it during modern gun season. Love some smokepole hunting!

My uncle is 80 and still hunted with his custom Kentucky flintlock he bought new in 1950. It's so sweet to shoot looks big and akeard but balances better then most modern day guns

Nice looking setup. I still remember my first muzzleloader, it was a 45 cal. Kentucky rifle that came in a kit that you stained the wood and assembled yourself. You don't see many old style guns in the woods anymore in Tn.
