What not to do with a Talon!!!

When you're all excited to get on the road to the lake early in the morning, everything packed ready to go, by yourself, radio on, windows up,,,,,, Don't forget to lower the talon if you raised it in the garage.

All I can say is, that bracket is one strong SOB.... About took the garage ceiling and door out but the talon was straight up and down just with a cracked top cap... lol... I never felt or heard a thing with my loud truck and radio on.. Live and learn!!!

    Ouch is right.

I always have the radio off and the windows down before I take off...listening for any clues that something might be wrong.

Don't feel bad I jumped in the truck running late one morning did the exact same thing BUT my driveway angles uphill and my talons did not touch the garage but I freaked out jumped out and thought I was going to have a heart attack. I then realized that mine will clear and do not have to be lowered because of the driveway angle but it was a sickening feeling and I was just happy I did not do any damage. Sorry about your damage but we all know now the brackets are super strong.

Look on the bright side...one talon creates half the damage as two talons ...just trying to lighten your mood

Yup. A month ago I messed up and resulted in hydrolic fluid in my builge. Don't feel bad. I'd rather fix the garage the the builge.

You can now replace that cap with the RMP light so it's a win win.

I reckon the tilt bracket wasn't installed? I wound up putting 2 of them on my Talons just for the purpose of going under some tight spots & bridges at high tide. They're not too expensive & easy to install yourself. Star Marine Depot had the best prices but def shop around 1st.

Lol.... No, the tilt bracket is installed. I lowered the talon putting it in the garage, but raised it to reach over and plug in the battery charger cord and forgot to lower it before I went fishing a few days later....

That's OK, yesterday I jumped out of the truck and backed my Skag off the tilt trailer, without pulling the tilt pin.
