    How many RPMs? 2005 zx225

Hey, I have a question regarding the boat I just purchased about a month ago. Right now, I am breaking in a rebuilt 2005 Yamaha HPDI 225. It has a 25P Tempest Plus prop on it. During break in, I am keeping the boat at under 4K RPM. Once I have the motor broke in, how many RPMs should I be running at WOT? Anyone have a guess?

Hopefully 5600-6000 is what I would want.

My manual states 5000 to 6000 Rpms. Toward the upper end of that is were you want to be.

I would shoot for 58000-6k. But maximum RPM is not always maximum performance

Agree...5,800 should be best and safest for the long hall
