    Trolling motor trays

I've been looking at the Trolling Motor trays. And I noticed some of them are four inches deep some of them are five I measured my Minn Kota Maxim pedal and it's five and a half inches tall. Does anybody have any in opinions about the pedal sticking an inch and a half out of the floor or a half inch with some of the trays? What tray do you have and what do you think about the pedal sticking up?

My pedal on my z20 sticks up a inch or so. My buddies pedal on his 520vx sits down about a inch and a half. Id much rather it be up above the deck some. I don't really care to have to step off in a hole to drive the trolling motor.

My Minn Kota pedal on my Z520 sits up about 1 1/2 inches when level, which seems perfect to me. Any higher and I'd be off balance. Much lower and I might struggle to find the pedal when not looking down. Below the level of the deck should be unacceptable.

In this post i attached a photo of mine. Bought it from a gent who no longer sells on this site. When pedal is flat it is almost exactly level with the deck and when tilting each way obviously extends above level. I can't see it getting any more comfortable and natural and if you are coming from captain morgan it is a must have upgrade.

The deeper tray will require a deeper hole so it will require removing more foam etc. Just throwing it out as something to think about.

I would want it 1.5" up rather than level, reason being as you steer left to back up almost, your heel is under the deck, and that is "hard" to do @ 1.5" up couldn't imagine it being easier with it flush.

Same here, would not like it lower than the deck at all.

you might be putting to much weight on your other foot if it's to high or to low.
I try to switch feet often.

Pedal higher than deck would be better - keeps slight majority of your weight on the stable foot on the deck, which makes it easier to control the foot pedal.

Ultrex pedal is about 1" taller than a Fortrex pedal, and wider at the rear of the pedal. They won't fit correctly it a rounded rear ConforTroll pan. ComforTroll does make a pan for the Ulterx.

I'd like like to put one in my R91. What is it made out of? Steel or aluminum? What are the dimensions? Width length and depth? Who sells it? Thanks.

It is a "Woo`s tray" his trays are stainless steel. After seeing the pic of blkfalc4 tray, I had to get me one. I will get you the dimensions.

If you plan on getting the MK Ultrerx you will want it to stick up some to make it easy to hit the buttons.
